Driving Test waiting lists are better and getting better every day!

This is only good news when it comes to booking a test in Northern Ireland right now!

Some of you may be aware that, similar to the situation with MOT tests, booking Practical Driver Tests in Northern Ireland has been affected by the legacy of the Covid 19 pandemic. This pushed the waiting time for a driving test back to almost 5 months not too long ago.

The good news is that is has improved dramatically over the course of the last 12-18 months where the DVA have made real progress in reducing the waiting list to a much better level. After a discussion with one of the examiners last week that wait is now down to approx. 30 days. That's huge news and good news at that. The overall goal is to reduce test waits to about 28 days which is almost back to pre-pandemic levels.

I for one would like to take my hat off to the guys and girls at the Test Centres all over Northern Ireland for their hard work in getting that wait reduced to this level. Well done.
