Do you think it's ok to drive with a dog in your lap?

Driving with an unrestrained dog or cat is illegal and dangerous.

It's of the most commonplace things we all see when out driving. A car passes and there it is, a small dog, sitting pretty in the drivers lap totally unrestrained or secured.

Would you do that with anything else that's not under your control?

A child or grandchild?

Would you leave them to their own devices while you're driving and not have them in a child or booster seat?

You're flippin right you wouldn't!

This is an illegal act by the way. It is completely and utterly unsafe and you could end up with points and a hefty fine on your hands when caught. Anyone doing this would themselves be wearing a seatbelt which makes the practice even more ludicrous.

Please, for the love of god, secure your animal properly. Stop putting your life, that of your pet and that of other road users at risk because you can't be bothered putting a simple restraint on your animal.
