Dealing with Emergency Vehicles

How to deal with Emergency Vehicles when on a Driving Lesson or Test.

It's not something that happens very often but when it does it's really handy to know what is needed from you, the driver, when an Emergency Vehicle turns up behind you with Blue Lights on and Siren wailing to get your attention.

So how do you deal with Emergency Vehicles when your out learning to drive?

There's a simplicity to this.

1st, slow down.

2nd, take in your surrounding. Find out where the Emergency Services are coming from.

3rd, find a safe place to move your vehicle towards.

4th, make the decision on whether it is better to slow down significantly or stop and let the Emergency Services past.

5th, move on as safely as possible once it is clear to do so.
